Data partitioning techniques in distributed systems based on hash augmentation

Abstract

Distributed data partitioning technology aims to optimize data distribution for improved computational efficiency. However, existing methods exhibit limitations in partitioning quality and redundancy control. To address these issues, this paper proposed a partitioning strategy based on Hybrid Locality-Sensitive Hashing (Hybrid LSH) and an improved Meta-Partitioning optimization technique. The method designed a Hybrid LSH framework, which achieved accurate preliminary clustering of high-dimensional data through the collaborative mechanism of MinHash and adaptive LSH. Furthermore, the algorithm introduced a dynamic two-stage edge pruning strategy and an inverse block frequency edge weight calculation method to optimize the topological structure of the partitioning graph. Experiments on four benchmark datasets demonstrated that the proposed method reduced the average partition size by 58.3% and the maximum partition size by 51.1%, compared to existing methods. The PC metric reached 96.4% (an improvement of 3.4 percentage points) , while the PQ metric achieved 11.6% (a 6.6 percentage point increase over the worst baseline) . The results provide a solution for distributed systems that balances partitioning quality and computational efficiency, with quantitative metrics validating its dual advantages in coverage and redundancy control.
