Research on propagation of competitive public opinion information in multivariate Heterogeneous coupled network

Abstract

Aiming at the competition of public opinion information during cross-platform interaction, this paper proposed to analyze the propagation law of competitive public opinion information in coupled network. Introducing opinion dynamics on the basis of SEIR model, this paper added positive and negative information disseminators. Then, it built a coupled network based on small world network and directed scale-free network to meet current social characteristics, and constructed an SEPNCR model for the competitive public opinion information dissemination in multivariate heterogeneous coupled network. This paper simulated and analyzed the effect of single dual platform, information content, and individual heterogeneity in the coupled network, exploring the role of media guidance and government interventions. The simulation results show that the model describes the dissemination process of competitive public opinion information in multivariate heterogeneous coupled network. Compared with single networks, the interaction behaviors in coupled network enhance the scale and speed of opinion dissemination, increase the degree of information diversity and alleviate information homogeneity. The emotional color and sensitivity of information directly affect the competitive situation of public opinion information. Media guidance and the timing of government intervention have a significant effect on controlling the dissemination of public opinion. The study provides a theoretical basis for the analysis of the evolution of online public opinion and a scientific decision-making reference for public opinion guidance and governance.
