Improved distribution estimation whale algorithm for block chain DAG task scheduling

Abstract

Nowadays blockchain is becoming synonymous with distributed ledger technology. However, traditional blockchain single chain technology is only a specialized technology in this field. In order to overcome the efficiency issues of single chain technology, a new paradigm is flourishing: directed acyclic graphs. This article focuses on the non independent task scheduling problem considering cost weights in blockchain directed acyclic graphs. A mathematical model for task scheduling in blockchain DAG is constructed, and a new task scheduling algorithm based on improved distribution estimation whale is proposed to solve this problem. The new algorithm introduces spatial sampling and statistical learning of EDA in the WOA algorithm to predict the optimal search area, thereby generating excellent new individuals, making the new algorithm have stronger global search ability and faster convergence speed. Finally, through program simulation, the performance comparison of multiple algorithms in terms of convergence speed and global optimization ability was compared. The experiment showed that the IEWOA algorithm has significant advantages over traditional WOA and EDA algorithms in the above parameter performance. In addition, by comparing the improved genetic algorithm FPGA, the IEWOA algorithm also had certain advantages in parameter performance.
