Sdp histogram publishing algorithm based on olh and dummy points

Abstract

Histogram publishing techniques under both centralized differential privacy and local differential privacy have been extensively researched. Aiming at the problems of balancing user privacy requirements and publishing error, this paper proposed a histogram publishing algorithm named OD-HP (Histogram Publishing Based on Optimized Local Hash and Dummy Points) . The algorithm uses the optimized local hash perturbation mechanism OLH to encode and perturb user data, addressing the issue of significant errors caused by large data value ranges. To mitigate collusion attacks between the shuffler and collector, dummy points is added to the perturbed data. The shuffler randomly and evenly mixes the perturbed data and dummy points, and performs histogram publishing in the collector. Finally, the EM algorithm is employed to fine-tune the shuffled data. The privacy and utility of the OD-HP algorithm are theoretically analyzed, and the proposed approach is validated on real datasets. The Experimental results demonstrate that the OD-HP algorithm effectively reduces publishing errors and ensuring data privacy.
