Abstract

The uneven distribution caused by the random deployment of sensor nodes often leads to coverage holes or redundant coverage in the sensing region of wireless sensor network, which severely affects the network performance. Therefore, it is necessary to redeploy the sensor nodes to repair the network topology. This paper summarized and analyzed the major research directions and achievements related to the nodes redeployment in recent years. Firstly, it reviewed the three basic sensing models. Secondly, it gave a comprehensive overview about the nodes redeployment from three perspectives: research questions, optimization objectives for strategy design, and classification methods. Thirdly, it classified and analyzed the redeployment strategies of typical sensor nodes and Sink nodes. Finally, it discussed the nodes redeployment strategy under reinforcement learning framework and the relocation of wireless sensor network under security monitoring requirements, and pointed out the application prospect, development trend and future optimization direction of redeployment strategy.
