Research on optimal algorithm of multi-AGV paths for automated terminals based on dynamic balance strategy

Abstract

After in-depth research on the path planning algorithm of the AGV transportation system and the port layout of the automated container terminal, in view of the possible conflicts and unequal task allocation in the path planning between the quay crane and the yard, this paper proposed an automatic terminal multi-AGV path optimization algorithm based on a dynamic balance strategy. By improving the Dijkstra algorithm, considering the distance of the path, and at the same time introducing the number of AGVs expected to pass on the path, which realized the dynamic balance of path allocation. By proposing an improved speed control strategy and a re-planning path control strategy, which effectively reduced the number of conflicts and the road congestion rate. This paper also established adynamic balance strategy and a MAS-based control method comparison experiment. The results show that the algorithm can effectively solve large-scale task assignment problems with more than 500 tasks and significantly reduce the average blockage rate 0.000 8~0.005 5. This algorithm can also be applied to other types of terminal layouts to further improve the horizontal transportation efficiency of the container terminal.
