Survey of key technologies for high utility patterns mining

Abstract

This paper provided a comprehensive and structured survey by analyzing the most advanced methods of HUPM. First of all, this paper introduced the relevant concepts and formulas of HUPM and gave application examples of HUPM. It classified and analyzed the most common and advanced key technologies used to mine different types of HUPM, including Apriori-based, tree-based, list-based, projection-based, vertical/horizontal data-based, index-based, and more. Because the static data is difficult to meet the actual needs, this paper summarized the HUPM methods applied on the data stream, mainly including based on the incremental methods, based on the sliding window model methods, based on the time decay model methods, based on the landmark model methods and so on. Finally, this paper gave the shortcomings of the current technologies and the direction of improvement, and proposed new research methods in a targeted manner.
