Research on optimal parameters of shuffled frog leaping algorithm

Abstract

This paper introduced the optimal parameters selection process of the shuffled frog leaping algorithm. Given the total number of populations and the total number of iterations, the number of groups, the maximum step size that allowed the individual position of the frog to change, and the number of iterations within the group were important parameters that affected the optimization performance of the shuffled frog leaping algorithm. Different parameter settings would have different effects on the results. This paper chose the value of three parameters in the shuffled frog leaping algorithm. First it analyzed the influence of parameters on the algorithm, and took the three commonly used values of every parameters and used orthogonal experimental design method to design the three-factor and three-level experiment. Then under the same environmental conditions, this paper used the CEC2013 real parameter function test set to verify the optimization performance of different parameter combination algorithms. Finally, this paper used the Friedman test score of the optimal value error as the evaluation index, and selected the optimal parameter combination(20, 5, 15), which was the basis for the improvement and application of the algorithm.
