Storage space allocation based on dynamic strategy in container terminal yard

Abstract

For the problem of container allocation stored in container yard, this paper developed a dynamic sub-region balance planning scheme of multiple yard cranes based on the original multiple yard sub- regional balanced strategy scheme, which made up the shortcomings of the original scheme because of the consideration of the safe distance without the effective utilization of the relevant space. With the goal of using storage space rationally, and improving working efficiency of yard cranes, this paper established a mathematical model, and it used genetic algorithm to verify the proposed program. The results show that the sub regional dynamic balance planning scheme can effectively reduce the ineffective working time of the yard cranes and improve the work efficiency. In addition, it can make full use of the yard belt and make better use of yard space.
